گرانول روکش نصب ثابت ماده اولیه جهت تولید آخرین لایه پلیمری است که روی سطح خارجی کابل قرار می گیرد. این لایه به عنوان غلاف ST1 (دارای مقاومت حرارتی تا 70 درجه سانتیگراد) در صنعت سیم و کابل شناخته می شود و می بایست در محدوده استانداردIEC 60502 قرار گیرد. معمولا غلاف ST1 به رنگ مشکی بوده و برای کابل های فشار ضعیف استفاده می شود.
