من الميزات الرئيسية لغطاء السلك المنثور يمكن الإشارة إلى المرونة والمقاومة الحرارية المرتفعة. يكون غطاء السلك المنثور عادة باللون الأسود والأبيض ويستخدم للكابلات ذات الضغط الضعيف.
