يتزايد يوما يعد يوم استهلاك حبيبات PVC في إنتاج جميع أنواع الخف البلاستيكي. وعادة يتم إنتاج الخف من نوع PVC على شكلين الشفاف والكربونات. وجود المادة المضافة الرغوية يؤدي إلى خفة الخف ومرونته. كما تستخدم المضافات الأخرى لتحسين عملية الحقن.
