Shrinks are transparent plastic covers used in the shrink-pack machine for packaging and covering. A cut of these transparent layers is placed around the product according to the size of the product that will be sheared. After passing the product through the thermal tunnel of the Shrink Pack machine and cooling it, at the end of the tunnel, these slits are shrunk and contain the product in the form of a pod. In the rest of this article, we will learn more about shrink packaging and its application.

Shrink packaging is produced from polyethylene derivatives such as LDPEL and has a thickness of up to 50 microns. When heat is applied to these materials, they acquire the properties of shrinkage and coating and remain in the same state. This heat can be applied by passing through a heating tunnel of the Shrink Pack device or transferring it manually with a torch. The most famous material from which sheeting films are produced is polyolefin, which is suitable for transparency, strength, and shrinkage. Other materials from which shrink rolls are made include:

Shrinks are PVC, Polyethylene, and Polypropylene. Some of these materials are suitable for industry, and others are suitable for food and medicine. Depending on the application, these rolls can be produced in one or more layers and have different degrees of transparency. Apart from the transparent nylons of Shrink mentioned above, enrollments have been created with various symbols and inscriptions. These rolls are sheeted and pasted on the product with the help of a machine, and they no longer have the simplicity and uniformity of single-color transparent rolls; this type of sheeting is called a slow sheeting label.

Shrinking labels are used in a wide range of products today, and it is rare to see plastic boxes and bottles that still need to have a Shrink Slow label printed on them. The material of these labels can be made of materials such as PETG, OPS, and K resin. Their most common material is polyvinyl chloride, which, while available, is cheaper than other materials.
